God's Not Sleeping on Your Blessings!
As I came into work on yesterday, I noticed how dark my usually bright building was. Though it was very early in the morning, the lobby area is typically well lit. As I walked up the breezeway and peered into the building, I noticed right away what was going on; the security guard had fallen into a deep sleep. The point man, the guy in charge of monitoring the cameras and ensuring order on the premises, was crouched in his chair with his earphones on and head cocked to the side. He was out like a light, oblivious to everything going on around him. Had there been a security breach or some other type of emergency, the first line of defense was useless. Because of his actions, the security guard had compromised his well-being as well as the safety of everyone else in the building. As I walked past the security guard, all I could do was shake my head. Activity was going on around him; I had been in his presence and he didn’t even know it. As I assessed the situation, it was then that I had a revelation – God is not asleep on your blessings!!
Aren’t you glad that God is always concerned about you? He is solely vested in your well-being and remains fully committed to you! God never gives up on you; you can’t allow yourself to give up on God. Get in God’s face. That’s precisely where He wants you to be. Give Him your struggles; tell Him your concerns. Cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7) Whatever you’re going through right now, don’t be mistaken for a minute to think that God is sleeping on you. You may be waiting for a breakthrough or standing in need of a miracle. God knows, and He cares. Stay in His face, never leave His presence. You are loved by an Almighty God. Your healing, your peace, and your deliverance are found in Him. God’s not sleeping on your blessings. He’s waiting for you to wake up to His goodness!
I’m on the bus with tears in my eyes….your analogy about the dark office and sleeping security guard really catapulted your message about God not being asleep……Sometimes we just need to hear it so we can keep moving forward while resting on his word.
I appreciate your time and efforts
